MBA in Entrepreneurship Required Courses
Provides an understanding of entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process. Emphasis on understanding the free enterprise system and what it takes to start and build a new venture outside (entrepreneurship) as well as inside (intrapreneurship) an existing organization.
This course explores the intersection of design thinking and entrepreneurial innovation, equipping students with the tools to identify real-world problems and create human-centered, market-viable solutions. Grounded in the Simplexity Thinking framework, students will develop skills in opportunity recognition, ideation, prototyping, and business model development. Through immersive exercises and applied projects, students will build creative confidence, collaborate across disciplines, and learn how to communicate and pitch their ideas with clarity and impact.
This course prepares students to lead innovation within established organizations by exploring strategies that foster intrapreneurship, strategic renewal, and sustainable growth. Drawing on real-world case studies and proven frameworks, students will assess organizational readiness, design innovation initiatives, and implement change at scale. Topics include innovation culture, corporate venturing, innovation metrics, and leading through resistance. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to drive transformative value from within corporations and navigate the complexities of innovation in mature enterprises.
